Famigo Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Lemon is a premium extra virgin olive oil developed for both daily Ole Shot consumption and refined culinary use. It is produced by cold-extracting fresh olives and lemons together from the very beginning, rather than blending flavors after extraction.
Only early-harvest Koroneiki olives from Crete, Greece, and fresh natural lemons are carefully selected during the harvest season. Production is limited to this period. Within 2 hours of harvest, olives and lemons are co-extracted at temperatures below 27°C, preserving their natural aroma, freshness, and nutritional quality.
The raw ingredients are combined at a ratio of 70% olives and 30% lemons during extraction. After processing, the oil is completed with a balanced composition of 92% olive oil and 8% lemon components. Both lemon peel and pulp are used, resulting in a deep, natural citrus aroma with smooth and gentle acidity.
Even after extraction, the oil maintains a final acidity level of 0.3% or lower, ensuring a clean, smooth taste without sharpness. This makes it suitable for daily consumption as an Ole Shot, offering a light and comfortable experience. A 500 ml bottle, consumed at 15 ml per day, provides over one month of consistent use, supporting an easy and sustainable Mediterranean-style daily routine.
Why Co-Extraction Matters
Lemon aroma is primarily contained in the natural essential oils found in the peel, rather than in the juice. These essential oils are fat-soluble and are most effectively and stably captured when co-extracted with olive oil at low temperatures.
By extracting olives and lemons together:
